We always invest together with one or more investors.
We can take a maximum of 50 per cent of a share issue. We are therefore keen to get in contact with other venture capital firms, angel investors and other players looking to invest in un-listed companies.
We look for the following qualities in an investment partner:
• a reputable and experienced investor in un-listed companies
• an understanding of and willingness to work actively with investments in early-stage companies
• the capacity to make follow-up investments
• ability to provide relevant industry knowledge
Partnerinvest always invests on the same terms as an investment partner. As an investor, we initially sign a term sheet with the existing owners. Then, when Partnerinvest’s board has approved the investment, we sign an investment agreement, with standard consent rights, drag-along/tag-along rights, a simple redemption clause and board representation. Unless our investment partner requires anything different, we are happy to subscribe to ordinary shares.
